Castrol Aircol SW 220 is a synthetic refrigeration compressor lubricant formulated from polyolester base stocks. It is designed for use with environmentally friendly HFC refrigerants, particularly R134a. With a kinematic viscosity of 220 mm²/s at 40°C and 19 mm²/s at 100°C, it offers enhanced hydrolytic stability, load-carrying ability, and inhibition against copper plating. Its wax-free formulation ensures a low pour point of -27°C, keeping the evaporator clean and reducing the risk of pipe blockages.
